Ting Accounting & Tax · How it works

Your books and tax, done — and checked by qualified people.

You snap the receipts and approve what matters. Ting AI does the first pass, a qualified Ting accountant checks every figure, and tax returns are prepared from your live books and submitted by licensed tax agents where the law requires.

How it works

Step by step.

  1. Step 1

    Bring your records across

We take your existing books, customers and suppliers, clean them with Ting Data and set up your chart of accounts, bank accounts, VAT and tax settings. Nothing is lost in the move.

  2. Step 2

    Snap receipts, upload invoices

Take a photo or upload the PDF. Ting AI reads the supplier, date, amount and VAT, converts foreign currency and suggests the category in seconds. An email confirmation isn't proof of purchase — upload the receipt or invoice itself.

  3. Step 3

    Your accountant checks everything

A qualified Ting accountant reviews every entry and only asks you when something genuinely needs your input — one tap to answer.

  4. Step 4

Sales, bills and bank keep moving

Invoices go to your approver before they're sent, and credit control follows up what's overdue. Supplier bills are approved before they're posted, and your bank is reconciled.

  5. Step 5

    Month-end, closed properly

Your accountant closes each month — accruals, prepayments, fixed assets — and sends your reports with a short note in plain English: what changed and what to do next.

  6. Step 6

    Tax worked out, approved, filed

Tax is estimated from your live books all year. Before each deadline your accountant prepares the return, you check and approve it, and it's submitted — by a licensed local tax agent where the law requires.

Who does what

Technology for speed. Qualified people for judgement.

Ting AI does

  • Reads receipts, invoices and bills, and suggests categories and VAT
  • Matches bank lines to invoices and bills
  • Keeps your profit, cash and tax estimate up to date
  • Answers questions about your numbers in plain English, with sources
  • Flags anything unusual for your accountant

Your Ting accountant & tax team do

  • Check every entry — CIMA- and ACCA-qualified accountants
  • Close each month and prepare your reports and annual accounts
  • Prepare VAT and company tax returns and keep every deadline
  • Find the reliefs you're entitled to
  • Review cross-border tax — withholding tax and transfer pricing — with a Ting tax professional
  • Work with licensed local tax agents who submit where the law requires

You decide

  • Who approves sales invoices and supplier bills in your team
  • Your budget for the year
  • Every tax return, before it's submitted
  • Anything your accountant asks — with one tap

Receipts and bills

Photo or PDF in, read by AI, checked by your accountant, posted to the right account with the right VAT.

Sales invoicing and credit control

Quick invoice templates, approval before sending, reminders for overdue invoices, and debtor ageing you can see any time.

Purchases and payment runs

Supplier bills approved by the right person, then paid together in a payment run.

Bank reconciliation

Bank lines matched to invoices and bills, so your cash in TingCloud is the cash in the bank.

Ask your numbers

Type a question in plain English and get a short answer with a chart, and where every number comes from.

Every deadline, every country

Company tax, VAT, annual accounts and personal tax deadlines side by side, so nothing slips between two countries.

VAT and company tax returns

Prepared from your books, approved by you, submitted on time — VAT returns through HMRC's Making Tax Digital in the UK.

Cross-border tax

Withholding tax on cross-border payments and transfer pricing between your companies, reviewed by a Ting tax professional when your arrangements need it.

Why you can rely on it

Checked, approved and on the record.

Qualified people sign it off

AI does the first pass so nothing waits in a pile; a qualified accountant checks every figure before it counts.

Licensed where the law requires

Tax returns are submitted by licensed local tax agents and partners in each country where that's required.

Nothing goes out without approval

Invoices, supplier bills and tax returns are approved by you, or the person you choose, before they're sent, posted or filed.

A full audit trail

Every entry, change and approval is recorded — who, what and when — and closed periods can't be changed by accident.

Confidential documents handled carefully

Ting Connect keeps conversations in one place; confidential documents are sent separately as password-protected email attachments, with the password shared another way.

Your data isn't used to train AI

Ting AI runs on a paid service that doesn't train on your data.

See your books and tax working, no sign-up needed.

Snap a sample receipt, watch it get checked, see your profit and budget live, then switch to the tax calendar and approve a return.
