Terms of use

The terms for using the TingCloud website and platform. Accounting, tax and other professional work is also covered by the engagement letter you agree with us for that work.

Last updated 5 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use tingcloud.ai and the TingCloud platform, which are operated by TingCloud Limited (company number 17370369, registered office 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom). By creating an account or using TingCloud you agree to them.

Professional services — such as bookkeeping, accounts, tax returns, company secretarial and advisory work — are provided by Ting Accounting & Tax Services Limited or another Ting Group company named in your proposal, under a separate engagement letter. If the engagement letter and these terms disagree about that work, the engagement letter applies.

IT, data and information, marketing and market research services are provided by TingCloud Limited under the proposal or statement of work you agree for that project. TingCloud Limited does not provide accounting, tax or other regulated professional advice. If your proposal and these terms disagree about that work, the proposal applies.

2. Your account

  • You must give accurate details and keep them up to date.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account, and you should tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
  • If you invite colleagues to a company, you are responsible for choosing what access they have and for removing it when it is no longer needed.
  • You must be at least 18 and have authority to act for any business you add to TingCloud.

3. Your information and documents

You keep ownership of everything you upload or enter. You give us permission to store and use it to provide TingCloud and the services you ask for, as described in our Privacy notice.

You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the records you give us, and for having the right to share any personal data about other people (such as your customers or staff) with us.

4. AI-assisted features

TingCloud uses AI to read receipts and documents and to suggest entries. Suggestions are a starting point: they are reviewed by a Ting professional before being posted to your books, and you should check reports before relying on them. AI suggestions are not professional advice.

5. Information on the website

Guides, market information, examples, demos and prices on the website are general information, not advice for your circumstances. Prices shown as "from" are a starting point; your actual fee is the one in your proposal or engagement letter. Please talk to us before acting on anything you read.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use TingCloud for anything unlawful, including fraud, tax evasion or money laundering;
  • upload malicious code or try to access accounts, companies or data that are not yours;
  • interfere with, overload or reverse-engineer the platform;
  • misuse the Refer a Friend programme, for example by creating accounts to refer yourself.

7. Fees and promotions

TingCloud access is included for qualifying Ting Accounting & Tax clients. Fees for services are set out in your proposal or engagement letter. Introductory offers and the Refer a Friend programme have their own terms, which are shown where the offer appears (see tingcloud.ai/refer).

Ting may pay a reward or fee to people and firms who introduce clients to us. It never changes the price you pay.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep TingCloud available and secure, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve, change or withdraw features. If a change significantly affects a service you pay for, we will give you reasonable notice.

9. Suspending or closing accounts

You can ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account if these terms are seriously broken, if fees go unpaid, or if we are required to by law. When an account closes we keep records for as long as the law requires, as explained in the Privacy notice, and can give you an export of your records on request.

10. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited. If you are a consumer, you also keep your statutory rights.

For businesses: we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill, or for indirect or consequential loss, arising from use of the website or platform. Our liability for professional services is set out in the engagement letter for that work.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If something goes wrong, please contact us first so we can try to put it right.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time and will change the date at the top. If a change is significant we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use TingCloud after that means you accept the updated terms.
