Who it's for
- Accountant or bookkeeper
- Solicitor or lawyer
- Bank or financial institution
- Business consultant or adviser
- Coworking or workspace operator
- Business network, chamber or association
- Incubator, accelerator or investor
- Anyone who wants to help friends and contacts
How it works
- The fee — one-off projects
- For one-off projects (for example company set-up, market research, a website or an IT build): up to 10% of the project fee, paid once.
- The fee — monthly services
- For ongoing monthly services (for example Accounting & Tax packages or a marketing retainer): up to 10% of the fees for the client's first 12 months. After that, no further fee is due. The exact rate for both is set in your introducer agreement.
- What it's calculated on
- Fees Ting invoices and the client pays, excluding VAT, government and filing fees, disbursements, and work delivered and billed by partner firms (for example legal services).
- When it's paid
- Quarterly, against your invoice, on fees the client has actually paid — once 3 months have passed since each payment without a refund. We contract with, and pay, your firm — not individual employees.
- A written agreement first
- We agree an introducer agreement with your firm before any introduction counts. Introductions made before it's signed aren't covered.
- If you're regulated
- If your profession has its own rules on referral fees — for example accountants, solicitors and financial advisers — please follow them. Everyone else simply introduces; there's nothing extra to do.
- Your clients stay yours
- We only work on what the client asks us to do, and don't take on work you already do for them. Every introduced client goes through our usual onboarding, including identity and anti-money-laundering checks, and we can decline any client.
- Their details
- Only share a client's details with their permission. You introduce; you don't advise or make promises on Ting's behalf.
